Macramé All Day
If you haven’t noticed the macramé trend lately, consider yourself missing out! I am always looking for simple, clean yet elegant ways to bring character and style to my home. So, when I noticed all the decorative macramé making its way into home décor, I had to jump onboard. I watched one YouTube video and knew that it would not only be a piece of cake to create something cute and custom, but extremely inexpensive.
I found this macramé piece online at World Market. Although on sale, I knew it would be simple to make and would be less than $6. I found two different sized metal hoops from the Hobby Lobby along with the rope that was needed to recreate this look. Outside of these items, all you need is scissors. With these supplies and 30 minutes of time, I had this stylish custom piece that I just adore!
Simply put, I cut 25 ropes the same length and looped them around the biggest ring. Once they were all looped, I tied a knot and cinched it close to the ring to keep the ropes from coming loose. I then cut the ends in a tapered pattern for a bit more style. The trickiest part was figuring out if I wanted the smaller hoop to just hang with no rope, or if I wanted to dress it up a bit. I chose to dress it up with 3 looped ropes and tied them to the bottom and side of the small ring. Easy as 1,2,3! Literally!
If you have $6 to spare, 30 minutes, and want a custom piece for your space, this is the project for you! I can’t tell you how easy it was and how much I enjoyed putting it together. I currently styled it in my bedroom as it is the perfect piece for that space for now as I am reworking the space. I can’t wait to create a few more to add to my home or gift to my friends and family!
Bye for now babes,
